Carpenter

Omaha, Nebraska

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to fully grasp requirements

  • Take measurements and calculate the size and amount of material needed

  • Cut, shape and smooth lumber and other material (e.g. fiberglass) according to measurements

  • Build window frames, doors, staircases and frame buildings by using raw materials or pre-constructed items

  • Lay out floorings, roofings or drywalls ensuring they are leveled and compatible

  • Carve and assemble furniture, cabinets, shelves and other items and install them where designated

  • Inspect places and conduct repairs or maintenance

  • Build scaffolding and other construction structures

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as carpenter

  • Hands-on experience in working with carpentry materials

  • Excellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction

  • Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (powered saws, hammers, rulers etc.)

  • Ability to read technical documents and drawings

  • Willingness to follow safety guidelines at all times

Laborer

Omaha, Nebraska

Job Description

We are looking for a General Laborer to take up manual labor tasks and support operations on worksites.

Responsibilities:

  • Clean up worksites from hazardous or obsolete material

  • Assist welders, carpenters, painters or other tradespeople on-site

  • Handle and transport materials (e.g. cement) and equipment (e.g. drills and grinders)

  • Use power tools and machinery (e.g. forklifts) when needed

  • Follow instructions from supervisors to perform manual labor tasks (e.g. digging, stacking up goods)

  • Put up warning signs (e.g. signposts, cones) for vehicles and passersby

  • Help with setting up and transferring temporary structures (e.g. scaffolding)

  • Report issues with equipment or unsafe conditions

Qualifications:

  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (standing for long periods of time, lifting heavy loads of up to 40 pounds etc.)

  • Good hand-eye coordination

  • Familiarity with power tools and machinery is a plus

  • Communication and teamwork skills

  • Commitment to safety rules

  • Apprenticeship or specialization is an asset, but not necessary

Superintendent

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize, supervise and control all field operations. 

  • Hold yourself and entire team accountable for safety, quality and productivity. 

  • Know the project plans and specifications. 

  • Always conduct yourself with the highest level of professionalism. Lead by example.

  • Interact regularly with everyone associated with project. 

  • Work with Project Manager to develop, maintain, and communicate the project schedule with the entire team. 

  • Coordinate all job site logistics. 

  • Supervise and manage all subcontractors and material suppliers for project, 

  • Maintain and monitor all equipment needed for the project whether it is company owned or rented. 

  • Provide quality control management and ensure project quality is maintained. 

  • Manage and monitor project safety. 

  • Document and record all daily activities on the jobsite in a Daily Log. 

  • Provide a monthly internal project scorecard to the Project Manager. 

Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years of Field Superintendent experience

  • Managing Construction projects ranging from $5,000,000 to $30,000,000. 

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Highly organized

  • Able to lead a project from start to finish. 

  • Outgoing, positive attitude

Estimator

Omaha, Nebraska

Job Description

We are looking for a thorough Construction estimator to calculate possible costs and gains of construction projects. You will collect and analyze data according to a series of useful variables.

Responsibilities:

  • Acquire understanding of the requirements of the project/program at hand

  • Select metrics to produce valid estimates

  • Visit sites, warehouses and other venues to gather essential information

  • Review documents or consult experts to collect all necessary data

  • Analyze data and produce forecasts

  • Perform risk analysis

  • Prepare detailed reports or bids for submission to appropriate parties

  • Select advantageous deals by evaluating offers and quotes

  • Foster relationships with key vendors (subcontractors, architects etc.)

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as construction estimator

  • Basic understanding of accounting and project management concepts

  • Deep understanding of research methodology, data analysis and estimation metrics

  • Comfortable with numbers and technology

  • Great attention to detail

  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities

  • Well-organized and reliable

  • BSc/BA in engineering, construction science or relevant field

  • Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) or other qualification will be a plus
